hub of the west valley
I grew up in Reseda. A neighborhood that is often neglected and lost in the urban sprawl of the San Fernando Valley located in the city of Los Angeles. I started this series as a response to the anonymity and disrespect of this corner of Los Angeles.
Initially conceived to bring attention to the neighborhood, it has evolved into a journey of self-discovery and a celebration of this neighborhood. I love finding the subtle details that define the character of Reseda-the quiet residential streets that house the narratives of its residents, the diverse architecture of old and new, and the quiet beauty of moments that are often seen as uninteresting. I see them as sculptures, often temporary, that are rarely noticed.
Not just a documentation of Reseda; this is a personal journey and an assertion that beauty and meaning can be found in the most unexpected corners of our urban landscapes.
